Diamonds cover all colors of the spectrum. White stones are the most popular - clear as ice, truly colorless and very rare.
Stones are graded by color. D stands for pure white, colourless stones. A higher letter in the alphabet stands for a more yellow tint. The best way to see the true color of a diamond is by looking at it against a white surface.
However, a special color can be just as rare as a truly clear diamond. The spectrum reaches from red over yellow and blue up to green and brown and they are valued for their depth of color.
